Attaching Candidate's Ballot Seals

Candidates, their electoral agent and polling agents can attach ballot seals at the close of poll, which is at 10pm. You can apply between 3 and 5 seals to each ballot box.

The main supplier of ballot seals in the UK is Shaw's Election Supplies: https://www.electionsupplies.co.uk/  telephone 01322 621100. The official seals will most likely be from Shaw's, and the presiding officer may be able to give advice on how to fit them.

If you want to take extra precautions, or feel a little paranoid, you could use seals bought from another country, somethng hard to source quickly like coloured zip-ties,  or even use string with a hot wax seal.

Whatever seals you use, you want to secure the like around the edges and the flap in the lid.

Team Work

If you don't have enough polling agents to be at all polling stations at 10pm, you could reach out to other candidates' electoral agents to see if their polling agents would like to help you.
